Liverpool are still title contenders despite dropping two points at home to Aston Villa on Saturday, according to Reds defender Kolo Toure.
A 2-2 draw with Paul Lambert's side saw Liverpool fall eight points behind leaders Arsenal, who beat local rivals Fulham to maintain their position at the top of the Premier League table.
Goals from Andreas Weimann and Christian Benteke in the first-half left the Reds with a mountain to climb with just over half an hour played.
But Daniel Sturridge gave Brendan Rodgers' side hope going in at the break after pulling a goal back in added time.
Brad Guzan brought Luis Suarez down in the box under ten minutes into the second period, with Steven Gerrard converting from the spot.
But the Reds couldn't do enough to clinch a winner and complete the turnaround, meaning they dropped points at home for the first time since their early season defeat to Southampton.
But despite the draw Kolo Toure still feels Liverpool have a good chance of winning the title.
“We are still in that [title race] because every team can lose points,” TourĂ© said.
“For us we just need to think about the next game 100 per cent, try to win and be positive.
“What we have done so far no-one was expecting at the start of the season.
“We need to take that on board and just keep going. When you have hard times you see a strong team and we are a strong team.
“The first half was very hard but the reaction from the team was great after going 2-0 down to a good Villa side – last year they won (3-1) here and it wasn’t easy for us.
“We got a point and that showed the character of the team. We don’t want to lose and that is very important, especially at home.
“Other teams will make errors. We just need to maintain our focus and believe in ourselves. In 16 games a lot can happen.”
